frequently asked questions

While some of the information posted here mirrors the info in my policies, please make sure you read my Shipping Policy, Return Policy, Privacy Policy and Terms of Service prior to making a purchase. They are listed at the bottom of all pages.

All work at Survey of The Cosmos is made out of platinum cured silicone, which is safe for your body. I sculpt and make my molds by hand, therefore you may find small imperfections in the non insertable areas of some toys, this is also known as “The Artist’s Hand” and it’s expected from hand made work. But rest assured that I am always trying to make the best possible work for you.

IN STOCK / MADE TO ORDER

In stock items usually ship within 3 working days or faster, items for which you place an order may take several weeks to be made and shipped. You will be notified if there is an extended delay due to production setbacks. 

INTERNATIONAL

UPS, Fedex, and DHL usually take from 5-10 days to arrive, if there are no delays due to global catastrophes. USPS takes longer. You pick your carrier, if the item gets lost, you have to file a claim.

You are responsible for paying duties and taxes. I can't change the value of the item or mark as a gift but I can calculate the custom tax you will owe. It is important that you provide a phone number or contact email, because if customs can't contact you to acquire their fees the item will be returned at my expense and I will have to deduct that fee from your store credit or refund.

DOMESTIC

You pick your rate and shipping carrier at check out. I package the work and get it picked up. If the item gets lost you must file a claim. It is recommended that you provide a phone number in case there are issues delivering your package but that is optional.

You can cancel an order within 48 hours after you made a purchase unless the item was shipped already. After 48 hours, and if I haven’t made your toy, you may cancel an order but I can only give you store credit as a refund.

If your order has not been produced yet, you can switch it for a different item of the same size group or a few smaller items that closely match its price. You will be given store credit for any balance owed. 

The main reasons for extended delays are high demand, mold repairs, physical health and rarely but gradually becoming more frequent in Houston Texas… natural disasters.

When your piece enters a “mold repair” phase (1-3 weeks), you’ll be notified and you will have the option of choosing another item, waiting through the repair or getting store credit. If you chose to wait for the repair I will grant myself additional time, not to exceed ten weeks from the time that you placed your order to complete your order. If I can’t fix the mold and make your piece within that timeframe you’ll receive a full refund. And I will hope that you’ll give me a chance again in the future.

Reviews can earn you discounts up to 30% off, but you may not earn discounts every single time you write one. Reviews that address third parties such as shipping carrier delays which are completely out my control are deleted, as well as reviews that use foul language . Please contact me if there is an issue with your order and I will do my best to resolve it.

Posting videos with my work in social media can also earn you discounts, message me for specifications.

If it’s the month of your birthday send me proof for a 15% off discount.

If you just got divorced you get a 15% discount as well.

An additional note about extended delays:

There are many unexpected setbacks that arise with this type of work, sometimes it may be a mold repair, a defective material, coloration issues, and the list goes on and on. Sometimes when you finally fix one problem two more arise in its place, and this is difficult to explain at crisp detail to a waiting client. Therefore, before you order a piece I need you to be aware that there is a risk of an extended delay. While it happens rarely, your order could be delayed by an additional 4 to 6 weeks from the expected delivery date.

If you decide that is taking too long and charge your credit card back, you will hurt me financially because I order my silicone in bulk and I can’t return just a fraction of it. In fact, none of it is returnable. On top of that, it is considered unethical and fraudulent to do a chargeback during the time we agreed I would allowed myself to try to complete your piece as stated in my Shipping Policy. So there really is no reason for doing that, if you just wait a little longer, you will get the toy you wanted and I promise that I will make it up to you for the inconvenience, because as a toy collector myself, I understand how frustrating it can be to have to wait longer than usual.
